SLCB closes 2021 in grandeur with Le350bn in revenue and Le134bn in pretax profits

The brain behind SLBC’s success Bockarie Kalokoh

Sierra Leone Commercial Bank (SLCB), the country’s leading commercial bank, ended 2021 with the highest banking revenue ever, with over Le350 billion and a pretax profit of more than Le134 billion.

The introduction of new banking products, such as e-Banking or ‘We Yone Internet Banking,” “Me Yone Mobile App,” “We Yone Mobile Teller,” “Corporate Banking,” AFCON, and other successful new products, has been attributed to last year’s success.

Much to the delight of well-meaning Sierra Leoneans, particularly their valued customers, whom they so cherish, the SLCB management also drove the reduction of non-performing loans from 26% to 14% in three months, catapulting banking revenue to an unprecedented level.

Bockarie Kalokoh, the Acting Managing Director with thirty (30) years of banking experience and knowledge, is the driving force behind the bank’s new strategy for generating such unprecedented banking revenue.

According to competent banking sources, the Acting Managing Director believes in teamwork, and the ideas that they put together at the management level resulted in the largest banking revenue since the bank’s inception in 1975.

“Bockarie Kalokoh has indeed lived up to our expectations as Acting Managing Director in just six months, and if given the opportunity to continue in that capacity, he will definitely transform the bank in terms of generating more banking revenue for the government and people of Sierra Leone,” a customer averred.
