Orange screens Leone Stars matches nationwide

The African Cup of Nations tournament has been brought to the people of Sierra Leone by Orange Mobile Company live, via the installation of wide screens nationwide.

Sierra Leone’s return to the African Cup of Nations pitch after a two-and-a-half decade absence has sent the nation into a frenzy. However, despite the soccer fever, not everyone is privy to a TV set to watch their darling Leone Stars live in action, realizing this challenge, Orange Mobile Telecommunication company has decided to launch screens in strategic spots nationwide so that all and sundry will have a full view of all Leone Stars matches throughout the tourney.

Orange Public Relations Officer, Mabel Mason, said that the screening “will take place in major towns and areas where people are usually gathered right across the country…” adding that though the screening is limited to Leone Stars games, the open match, which was on Sunday, 9 January, 2022 was screened, and further revealed that the final match of the competition would also be screened.
