King Kao awards best African Best Rapper

Amara Dennis Turay, also known as Kao Denero, Sierra Leone’s rapper and Black Leo Music CEO, has received the Best Hip Hop/Rap Artiste award at the renowned African Entertainment Awards (ARAUSAL) in the United States.

Karo Denero’s triumph was revealed during the 7th AEAUSA, which took place on Boxing Day, December 26, 2021, in the United States.

The event was livestreamed on the AEAUSA YouTube channel.

Kao Denero topped African heavyweights Nasty C, Ice Prince, Sarkodie, Ka-C, Khaligraph Jones, Elowin, Vector, and Rosa Ree to win this extremely prestigious accolade, establishing him as a leader among his peers.

The award has been designed to recognise and reward success in entrepreneurship, community leadership, and the entertainment sector in Africa and the diaspora. Empak Corp and Siderz Entertainment LLC sponsored the ceremony.

The Black Leo artist is well-known for his ability to create successes in a variety of musical genres. To the satisfaction of his fans, he is widely renowned for spitting hefty bars with excellent relatable storylines and a great lot of heavy linguistically lifting.

Kao Denero gave his followers an EP titled “Chronicles” in 2021. The EP included successful songs including ‘Not The Same,’ which featured ePee and Lima Cruz.

Throughout the year, he released songs such as ‘Apply you sef’ featuring Star Zee,’ ‘So Fly,’ and ‘Strasser.’ F’resident Julius Maeda Bio appointed Kao Denero as Sierra Leone’s Special Envoy for Enterprise and Investment on March 12, 2021.

He was the first Sierra Leonean entertainer to be honoured in this capacity.

Kao Denero shut down Dubai in the middle of 2021 with one of his most talked-about shows. He was also a member of the team that travelled to Dubai with President Bio and First Lady Fatima for EXPO 2020, where he gave an exclusive performance.

Ambassador Kao Denero met with investors in Dubai to promote Sierra Leone entertainment. He then travelled to the United States to meet with various players about investing in the entertainment business.

Despite his national obligations, Kao Denero returned to Sierra Leone and went into the studio to promote upcoming Sierra Leonean rappers on Fityai Corner Cypher. Following the popularity of the cypher, he expanded his network to include additional rappers in a Continental cypher that included Lyrical Joe from Ghana, King B from Cameroon, Shadow Boxxer from Sierra Leone, and others.
