Biaco, the tournament’s head coach, greeted all participants and umpires. He provided a summary of the event and urged all competitors to follow the regulations of the game.

The President of YSC, Alie Colosay, welcomed the players to the tournament. He said the last tournament in 2020 was successful, adding that the 2021 tournament will be superb because modalities have been put in place by the organizers despite the absence of President Bassem Mohammed.

“We have started today Saturday 18th, and expected to finish on Thursday 23rd December 2021. Thanks for accepting our invitations”, he mentioned.

Mr. Colosay appealed to the players to be disciplined and take advice from their coaches during the tournament.

“Whenever I talk about sports I always mention Mohamed Kallon. This is because he showed discipline in the game of football, he succeeded. So be a replica of him. I wish you all the best good luck”, The YSC President noted.

General Manager, Sierra Fishing Company, Madam Fadia Sahid Mohammed said: “Good day to our lovely players of this tournament. I am very much happy to be here to see young girls and boys participating in squash tournament as it is the dream of President Bassem Mohammed”.

She asked them to make good use of the opportunity they have, wishing them all the best of luck. “Let the best player wins. Good luck to you all”, she continued.
