Orange Sierra Leone’s Directors, Senior Management, and employees on November 7, 2021, visited Connaught and 34 Military Hospitals to sympathize with victims of the fire tragedy caused by a gasoline tanker explosion.

The Orange team’s visit concluded with the distribution of water and food supplies to frontline medical practitioners who have been overwhelmed in the past few days with the victims of the Wellington fuel truck incident.

Acting CEO of Orange,  Haffie Haffner shared condolences on behalf of the CEO, Aminata Kane Ndiaye.

She then applauded the medical professionals for their persistent efforts, stating that they had been pushed to their limits, but never stopped working from the commencement of COVID-19 in 2019.

Jestina Betts, Director of the Orange Foundation, expressed her condolences for the tragic tragedy and commended the medical personnel’s calmness and efforts. She reminded everyone present that the OSL Foundation will be delivering supplies to hospitals for the staff and victims throughout the week as part of their commitment to reducing some of the stress caused by the tragic tragedy. “OSL will devote this week ensuring that our everyday presence is felt in the lives of individuals who are suffering as a result of this tanker disaster,”
