President Julius Maada Bio has endorsed Ahmed Gento Kamara, commonly known as “Gento,” for the mayoral candidacy of Freetown City Council (FCC) in the upcoming multi-tier elections. Gento is a young and innovative man who has inspired and changed the lives of many youths in the country, according to Bio.

The announcement was made on Thursday, February 9th, during a gathering at the Aberdeen roundabout, where Bio also introduced Vice President Juldeh as the running mate. The President called on the electorates to vote for the Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) in the June 24 general elections, as he claimed that they were “the winning team.”

Gento had previously captured the attention of many people, particularly youths, who showed their support for him during the party’s 13th National Delegates Conference.
