Connaught gets new stroke ward

Connaught Hospital now features a stroke unit as well as a ramp. The vice president of the Sierra Leone Stroke Association, Jotham Jeremy Johnson esq, stated that the facility would give specialised treatment to Stroke Patients and that the Association hopes that more Stroke Patients will become Survivors and fully recover.

The Vice President requested a CT scan to make the unit more efficient, as well as free health care for stroke survivors and those recuperating from strokes. He also requested that good drugs be imported and sold at cost recovery pricing, as well as financial and technical assistance for the unit.

Jotham urged the people to bring their family members, friends, and community members who are exhibiting stroke-like symptoms to the stroke ward at Connaught Hospital before the situation gets dire.
