The first runner-up in the ruling Sierra Leone People’s Party’s (SLPP) national chairperson election, Jimmy Batilo Songa has appealed to his followers to remain calm and accept the results.
Batilo, a political philosopher and experienced administrator, has urged his followers to work collectively in order to ensure President Bio wins the 2023 general election on the first vote.
He urged his followers to trust the process and have faith in the SLPP and beckon them to support President Bio’s agenda for the party and Sierra Leone.
“No one is larger than the SLPP, therefore we must follow the party’s directive.”
Batilo, also expressed his gratitude for the delegates’ decision during the national delegates’ conference held in Bo City on December 29th and 30th, 2021.
“No one is larger than the SLPP,” he claims, “Therefore we must follow the party’s directive.” No one should be able to convince you to leave the celebration.
The election result will not deter me from promoting the party’s principles as directed by President Julius Maada Bio, who also serves as the party’s head.
